Jaime Hutchison

Jaime Hutchison is a Lab Manager with expertise in Analytical, Microbiology, and Environmental fields at Syensqo since May 2024. Previously, at Solvay from May 2016, Jaime served as Manager of the Microbiology & Environmental Group and as Senior Scientist II, leading a corporate research project focused on an innovative water treatment solution with a multidisciplinary approach involving polymer science, soft matter, and microbiology. Prior experience includes a postdoctoral fellowship at The University of Texas at Austin from February 2013 to February 2016, where Jaime collaborated in a team utilizing confocal microscopy and bacterial flow cells to investigate biofilm development and developed techniques using optical tweezers for single-cell manipulation. Jaime holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a BS in Physics from The George Washington University.
