Zalak Patel began their work experience as a Pharmacy Technician at Lloyds Pharmacy in 2009. Zalak then worked as an Analytical Technician at Almac Group from 2011 to 2012. Following this, they had an internship as an SAS Internship Trainee at Epoch Research Institute India Pvt. Ltd. from 2015 to 2016. Zalak then worked at Adelphi Values, starting as a Trainee Statistical Programmer from 2016 to 2017, then as a Statistical Programmer 1 from 2017 to 2018, and finally as a Statistical Programmer 2 from 2018 to 2020. From 2020 to 2021, they worked as a Programming Analyst II at PPD. Currently, they are working as a Senior Statistical Programmer specialized in late-phase Oncology at Cytel. Throughout their experience, Zalak has gained expertise in various therapeutic areas including oncology, respiratory, and dermatology. Zalak has collaborated with Biostatisticians, Data Management, Programmers, and management in their roles, and has been responsible for prioritizing workloads and leading teams as a lead programmer.
Zalak Patel completed a Bachelor of Pharmacy degree at South Gujarat University from 2004 to 2008, majoring in pharmacy. Following this, in 2016 and 2017, Zalak enrolled at The University of Sheffield and obtained a Graduate Certificate in Statistics, specializing in Mathematical Statistics and Probability. Additionally, Zalak holds two additional certifications: SAS Certified Advanced Programmer for SAS 9 obtained in April 2015 and SAS Certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 (CBP) obtained in January 2015, both from SAS institution.
