Patrick Weinkam

Patrick Weinkam has over 18 years of experience in the field of data science. Patrick started their career in 2001 as a Research Assistant at Nektar Therapeutics. In 2002, they became an Undergraduate Researcher at the University of California at Santa Barbara. The following year, they began their graduate studies at the University of California at San Diego and also served as a Lecturer. In 2009, they became a Postdoctoral Fellow at the University of California, San Francisco and also a Postdoc/World Traveler at the University of California at San Diego. From 2014 to 2016, they worked as Lead Engineer, Data Science - Applied Intelligence at IO Data Centers, BASELAYER, where they architected and managed big data infrastructure and developed business intelligence software. Patrick also served as Co-Founder, Data Science and Engineering at Nooklyate, providing software consulting to develop solutions to key business problems. In 2018, they became Co-Founder at CYTK, providing virtual assistant technology enabling automotive technicians to perform their work safely, quickly and with a higher degree of accuracy. Most recently, in 2020, Patrick Weinkam was appointed Head of Data Science at RunBuggy.

Patrick Weinkam obtained a BS in Biochemistry with a minor in Mathematics from UC Santa Barbara in 2003. Patrick then went on to obtain a Ph D in Chemistry/Computational Biology/Physics from UC San Diego in 2008.
