Shai Shen-Orr

Shai Shen-Orr is an accomplished academic and scientist with extensive experience in the fields of artificial intelligence in healthcare, systems immunology, personalized medicine, and computational biology. Currently serving as the Director of the Zimin Institute for AI Solutions in Healthcare and co-director of Tech.AI at the Technion - Israel Institute of Technology since October 2011, Shai also holds the positions of Associate Professor and Principal Investigator. As a co-founder and Chief Scientist at CytoReason since 2016, Shai contributes to advancements in AI applications for healthcare. Previous roles include research associate and postdoctoral researcher at Stanford University, and programming positions at the Weizmann Institute of Science and the University of Pennsylvania's Center for Bioinformatics. Shai earned a PhD in Molecular Cell Biology and Bioinformatics from Harvard University, and has multiple degrees in bioinformatics and information systems from esteemed institutions.
