Daniel Fainstein

Daniel Fainstein is an accomplished engineer with a diverse background spanning over a decade in various technical roles. Currently serving as an Engineer at The D. E. Shaw Group since July 2022, Daniel previously held positions as a Production Engineer and Product Manager within the same company, where responsibilities included managing Linux server upgrades, building web security proxies, and improving email infrastructure. Prior experience at Meta as a Production Engineer involved planning major interface overhauls and collaborating on software development. Daniel's earlier roles include Development Engineer at IBM, where significant contributions were made to 3D Integrated eDRAM technology, and Desktop Support at Columbia University. Daniel holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Economics from Columbia University.
