Laleh Samii

Laleh Samii's work experience began in 2007 as a Research Assistant at Simon Fraser University. Laleh then became a Teaching Assistant and Instructor at the same institution until 2015. In 2015, they joined Beedie School of Business at SFU as a Research Assistant. In 2016, Laleh joined CIBC as a Quantitative Analyst and worked their way up to become a Senior Quantitative Analyst until 2020. Currently, they work as a Financial Engineer at d1g1t Inc.

Laleh Samii completed their education in a chronological order. Laleh started their academic journey at Ferdowsi University of Mashhad from 1999 to 2003, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Applied Physics. Following that, they pursued their Master's degree in Physics at Sharif University of Technology, which spanned from 2003 to 2005. Laleh then continued their studies at Simon Fraser University from 2007 to 2013, during which they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Physics. Lastly, they enrolled at the Beedie School of Business from 2013 and concluded in 2015, specializing in Risk Management and earning a Master of Finance degree.
