Jim Maguire

For over 25 years, Mr. Maguire has held a variety of leadership roles focused on technology management and solutions across the pharmaceutical landscape.

Prior to joining D2, Mr. Maguire was Chief Information Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Caremetx, LLC, where he led the development and execution of a technology roadmap for increased efficiencies through automation and improved processes within the hub operation. His focus included merger and acquisition integration of IT groups and technologies, as well as the development of new technology and innovative processes in electronic benefit verification and operations.

Mr. Maguire has held a variety of executive leadership roles focused on business growth and industry advancement, including founding his own company and developing a specialty pharmacy management and business intelligence platform. Prior to this Mr. Maguire served as CIO for CatalystRx, Inc, a nationwide pharmacy benefit manager, where he enabled revenue growth from $400M to $1.2B over four years.

Mr. Maguire is known for his deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry and its processes, to which he applies creative solutions for business growth and efficiency. His expertise spans specialty pharmacy networks, specialty and wholesale distribution, and retail pharmacies. His deep knowledge of the broad services involved in patient access programs, designing and maintaining hub operational flow in support of product launches, benefit verification, specialty pharmacy and pharmacy benefit management from design through development, implementation and support allows him to have a full end-to-end view of the industry and its needs.

Recently he has been developing D2’s technology roadmap, including upgrading and integrating D2’s product suite. He also has been mapping the growth strategy for the technology team.

Mr. Maguire is known as an industry leader who has a full grasp of leading-edge technologies and has a track record in using tech to deliver a better patient experience. He has been a keynote speaker and has written numerous articles for Specialty Pharmacy Times. Mr. Maguire earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Rhode Island.
