Michael Walchshofer MSc MA MBA MBA MBA akad BM has held various roles in a number of companies, beginning in 1999 with GE Capital as a Security and Management Officer. Michael then moved to voestalpine AG in 2001 as Chief Security Officer. From 2012 to 2015, they were Senior Manager Group Risk and Compliance Management at Hofer KG - Unternehmensgruppe Aldi Sued. In 2018, they joined BDO IT & Risk Advisory GmbH as Director Advisory. In 2020, they became Prokurist/Director at BDO Consulting GmbH, and also took on the role of Head of Riskmanagement/Information Security Officer at TMIA/Nodeventure. Most recently, in 2021, they became Member Advisory Board/Head of Compliance at D3EIF GmbH. Additionally, they have been the Geschäftsführender Inhaber at NAAC - New Age Audit & Consulting e.U. since 2008.

Michael began their studies in 2000 at the World Buddhist University, where they earned a Doctorate in Philosophy and Ethics. In 2007, they completed an IT Management course at Management Lehrgang and in 2009, they earned a Certificate from Fernuniversität Hagen in Compliance Academy. In 2010, they earned a Master of Science in Information Security Management from Donau-Universität Krems and a Diplom in Academy for Buddhism from Dhammazentrum Nyanaponika/Buddhist and Pali University of Sri Lanka. In 2011, they earned a Master of Arts in Business Psychology from Donau-Universität Krems and in 2014, they earned a Certified ISO 27001:2013 Lead Auditor from IRCA. Michael also earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and akademischer Business Manager (akad.BM.) from Blue Danube Business School. In 2016, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from University of Colorado Colorado Springs in Corporate Governance and in 2018, they earned a High School Diploma in Digital Transformation Management from Fachhochschule des bfi Wien. In 2019, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Alaska Pacific University in Communication & Leadership and in 2021, they are currently pursuing a Higher National Diploma in Buddhist Religious Studies at Central University of Tibetan Studies.
