Thilo Hitz

Thilo Hitz is the Founder and COO of Daato, an ESG management platform established in August 2022 that aids enterprises in enhancing their sustainability performance. Prior to this, Thilo served as a Policy Advisor at the German Federal Ministry for the Environment from March 2018 to September 2022, focusing on the German EU Presidency 2020 and the intersection of digitalization and sustainability. Additional experience includes a role as Policy Advisor at the Ministério do Ambiente e da Ação Climática in early 2021 and Manager of Public Affairs at Henkel, where responsibilities included Circular Economy initiatives and chemicals regulation. Earlier career experiences comprise a position as Junior Manager in Public Affairs at the European Parliament. Thilo holds advanced degrees in Public Policy from the American University and Hertie School, a Master of Arts in European Studies from RWTH Aachen University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Carl von Ossietzky University of Oldenburg.
