Maribeth Bluyus has extensive work experience in the field of conference planning and event management. Maribeth started their career with Aramark in 1998, where they served as a Conference Planner and was responsible for managing guest rooms and overseeing staff. Maribeth then joined Benchmark Hospitality in 1999 as a Conference Planner, where they handled all aspects of meetings and acted as a liaison between clients and hotel staff. In 2001, they joined Aramark again as a Conference Planner and performed site selection for conferences of various sizes. Maribeth coordinated all aspects of on-site and off-site meetings, including catering, audio-visual, and transportation. In 2008, Maribeth Bluyus joined Edelman Financial Engines as a Sr. Manager of Meetings and Events. In this role, they led the design, marketing, and management of over 500 lead-generating events annually. Maribeth was responsible for measuring ROI and implementing promotional efforts to target audiences. Currently, Maribeth holds the position of Vice President of Operations at the Digital Assets Council of Financial Professionals, starting in 2022.
Maribeth Bluyus holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University. In addition to their degree, they have obtained several certifications throughout their career. Maribeth obtained a Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) certification from the Events Industry Council in January 2004. Maribeth also acquired a Certified Meeting Professional certification from the Convention Industry Council in July 2004. Furthermore, they obtained a Cvent Event Management Certification from Cvent in August 2020. Maribeth'smost recent certification is the DACFP Certificate in Blockchain and Digital Assets® obtained from the Digital Assets Council of Financial Professionals in September 2021.
