Simon Fancony has a diverse work experience in the media industry. Simon currently holds the position of Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Dagbladet Information since 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Politiken where they held various roles including Head of Subscription - B2B, Senior Business Developer, Digital Marketing Manager, Online editor, Head of social media, and Social Media Manager from 2014 to 2022. Before joining Politiken, Simon worked at Dagbladet Information as an Assistant Editor and Journalist intern from 2011 to 2014. Their early experience in the field began at Gyldendal as an Editorial Assistant from 2009 to 2011.
Simon Fancony earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English studies from the University of Copenhagen (Københavns Universitet) from 2006 to 2010. Prior to that, they attended Varde Gymnasium from 2003 to 2006 where they completed their STX degree in Arts & Letters. In addition to their formal education, Simon obtained certifications in "IT specification by Use Case Method" and "Excel" from Teknologisk Institut in November 2020 and September 2020, respectively.
