Jim Baumann

Jim Baumann serves as Vice President and Executive Editor at Daily Herald Media Group, a position held since 1997, overseeing daily editorial operations. Previously, Jim held multiple roles within Paddock Publications, including Assistant Vice President and Managing Editor, and was responsible for eight weekly publications in Central Illinois while writing the Grammar Moses column. Jim's career began in journalism with internships at the Herald and Rockford Register Star, followed by editorial roles at Daily Herald from 1985 to 1997. Jim graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign in 1984.
