Mauricio Morales

Mauricio Morales has a long history of working in the tech industry. In 2004, they co-founded Sisfo Consulting, a company that eventually grew to a team of ~20 and was acquired and then merged into another Colombian consulting firm. In 2009, they joined Tuenti as a Product Engineer, helping to build product/platform and architect, develop, and scale products to serve a user base of 13+ million users. Mauricio then moved to Deimos Space as a Software Engineer in the Quality Assurance Department, where they redesigned the architecture and trained interns on coding practices and web development. In 2010, they became the Director of Product Development at Youzee, managing internal technology projects and leading the entire product cycle from strategy to launch. From 2015 to present, they have been a Partner at Rocka - Tech Due Diligence & Fractional CTO/CPO Service, a Fractional CTO and CPO leadership for startups, and a Technology Partner & Advisor (Tech Due Diligence) at B4Motion. Mauricio has also been a Seed Investor at Bambú - Meditación y Mindfulness since 2018 and a Founder & CEO at DailyBot since 2020.

Mauricio Morales has a diverse educational background. Mauricio obtained their BSc in Computer Science from Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira in 2001-2007, specializing in Internet Technologies, web programming, and databases. In 2008-2009, they earned an MSc in Computing Research from Universidad Complutense de Madrid, focusing on Design Patterns. Mauricio then went on to obtain their MBA from Escuela Europea de Dirección y Empresa in 2013-2014, with a focus on Business Administration and Management, General. Most recently, they are enrolled in Y Combinator's S21 Batch as a Founder.
