Colin Vettier

Colin Vettier has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple roles and industries. Colin has recently worked as the Safety Operations Director at Dailymotion since May 2023. Prior to that, they were the Manager of Content Moderation at Teachable from March 2021 to May 2023. Colin also served as the Content Moderation Lead at Teachable from May 2021 to March 2023.

Before Teachable, Colin worked as the Trust & Safety Associate Product Manager at Dailymotion from December 2018 to April 2021. Colin played an important role in managing and launching projects to ensure the safety of brands and users.

Colin's earlier experiences include working as a Senior Community Support Specialist with a product focus at Meetup from November 2016 to November 2018. Colin also has freelance experience as a Writer and Screenwriter, working on various writing projects including short stories, a novel, and short screenplays.

Additionally, Colin has worked as a Jurist at Stallergenes, where they audited IT contracts within a merger and drafted contracts and non-disclosure agreements. Colin has also served as a Legal Secretary at JONES DAY and a Jurist at Cinémathèque française and Archive TV, where they drafted contracts and researched applicable rights.

Colin's earliest recorded work experience was as a Video Script writer at Hantik Films from June 2010 to July 2012.

Colin Vettier holds a Master's Degree (Magistère) in Intellectual Property Law & Business law from Université de Poitiers, which they obtained between 2005 and 2008. Colin also has a Bachelor's Degree (Licence) in Legal studies and criminology from the University of East London, completed in 2005. Additionally, they earned a DEUG in Droit from Université catholique de Lyon, covering the period from 2003 to 2005. Colin has obtained several additional certifications, including Anti-Racism I and Anti-Racism II from Coursera and the University of Colorado Boulder, respectively, in 2023. Colin also holds certifications in Critical Thinking, Become a Digital Trust & Safety Leader, Communicating about Culturally Sensitive Issues, and Mindware: Critical Thinking for the Information Age from LinkedIn, obtained in 2022 and 2021. Furthermore, they completed the Indigenous Canada certification from the University of Alberta in 2020.
