John Wengert

John Wengert has extensive experience in leadership and operations management, currently serving as President of Lebanon Valley Rails-to-Trails, Inc. since November 1996, where leadership involves directing a 16-member volunteer Board to develop and maintain a 15-mile multi-use recreational trail in Lebanon County, Pennsylvania. Concurrently, Wengert holds the position of Plant Manager at Dairy Farmers of America, overseeing operations in the fluid milk and beverage division since June 1993. Previously, as Community Affairs Coordinator at Rails-to-Trails Conservancy from September 1988 to August 1991, Wengert provided technical assistance to various communities across the U.S. in converting abandoned railroad corridors into recreational trails. Wengert earned a BA in Economics and Environmental Studies from St. Lawrence University and an MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management.
