Pete Rimmer

Pete Rimmer is an experienced IT professional with a robust background in UNIX systems and infrastructure engineering. Currently serving as Associate Director and Senior Infrastructure Engineer at Daiwa Capital Markets since May 2017, Pete specializes in the design, build, and management of both physical and virtual systems, particularly using RHEL and Solaris, as well as Oracle Database Appliance implementation. Prior to this role, Pete held positions at Travelex, where expertise in UNIX/Linux monitoring, backup, and storage was developed, and at Fujitsu as a UNIX Systems Administrator and Oracle DBA, managing a variety of UNIX environments and storage solutions. Pete began the career as a UNIX Systems Administrator at Britannia Airways and holds a BSc with honors in Information Technology from the University of Staffordshire.
