Andrea Gorniok is responsible for supporting Dakota’s Philadelphia team and its clients in the areas of office management and operations. She believes that providing an exceptional client experience comes from precise attention to detail, adaptability, problem-solving, and organizational skills. She has adapted years of administrative and operational support experience to the practice of wealth management.
Andrea began her professional career in academics, teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and working as an administrator at an English Language School in Madrid, Spain. It was there that Andrea developed a unique skill set including how to organize immersive and cultural activities to optimize students’ time abroad.
Upon returning stateside, Andrea pursued graduate studies in Finance at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. After earning her master’s degree in 2020, Andrea joined Persimmon Capital Management, becoming a team member of Dakota after the acquisition of Persimmon in July 2021.
Andrea earned her bachelor’s degree from Fordham University with a dual major in International Political Economy and Spanish Language & Literature.
Andrea continues to pursue her love of foreign languages and giving back to the community by tutoring ESL students through a local library program. Originally from Long Island, NY, she is a fan of trivia shows like Jeopardy, enjoys running and reading, traveling, and practicing Spanish.
