Kernell Slack

Kernell Slack is currently a Stampede Guide at Southern Methodist University, facilitating orientation for first-year students and easing their transition to college life. Previous roles include serving as an Admissions Ambassador, managing campus tours, and a Social Media Intern, where Kernell enhanced university engagement through content creation. As a Connect Mentor, Kernell provided personalized support for new students, while also representing peers as a First Year Senator on the Finance Committee, and recently taking on the role of Finance Secretary. Kernell's experience extends to working with the Dallas County Elections Department as a Student Election Clerk and NEXT LEVEL SPORTS GROUP as a Customer Service Rep and Social Media Manager, where a significant increase in followers was achieved. Kernell has also contributed to sports as a concession stand worker and umpire, and completed a Sports Medicine internship, highlighting a well-rounded background in both leadership and customer service. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance at the SMU Cox School of Business, Kernell aims to blend academic knowledge with professional experience.
