Gabriel Garau Estarellas

Gabriel Garau Estarellas has a diverse work experience in the field of data science and data engineering. Gabriel started their career as a Research Fellow at the IFISC Institute for Cross-Disciplinary Physics and Complex Systems (CSIC-UIB) in 2018, where they collaborated on a project applying machine learning techniques to a quantum system. In 2019, they joined Barceló Hotel Group as a Junior Data Scientist & Data Engineer, focusing on statistical data analysis, data engineering, and database management using Microsoft Azure tools.

In 2020, Gabriel joined Plexus Tech as a Data Engineer, contributing to the development of a web application for data lineage tracking and working with Informatica Powercenter for ETL processes. Gabriel also worked at Damavis Studio as a Data Scientist, designing and implementing data science solutions for clients. Gabriel was responsible for building and automating data pipelines using tools like Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Factory.

Most recently, Gabriel became a Data Scientist at OccamsHub in 2022, where they continue to apply their skills and expertise in data science.

Gabriel Garau Estarellas pursued their education chronologically, beginning in 2014 when they enrolled at the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. From 2014 to 2019, they obtained a B.Sc. in Mathematics, followed by a B.Sc. in Physics at the same institution during the same period. In 2020, Gabriel pursued a Master's Degree in Artificial Intelligence Applied to Sports at UCAM Universidad Católica San Antonio de Murcia, which they completed in 2021.
