Emile Poot

Emile Poot currently serves as the Director of Corporate Development for Damen Shipyards Group, overseeing mergers, acquisitions, divestments, joint ventures, and corporate venturing on a global scale. With a strong background in tax management, Emile previously held the position of Director Tax at Damen Group, responsible for addressing tax issues across the organization. Additionally, Emile is the Executive Director of Damen Maritime Ventures Division, focusing on portfolio management and optimization for maritime-related companies and ventures. Since January 2020, Emile has held various board member and shareholder representative roles across multiple Damen subsidiaries and affiliated companies. Emile completed a Master of Laws in Tax Law/Taxation at Erasmus University Rotterdam between 2001 and 2007.
