Mary Ellen Hunt

Mary Ellen Hunt is a seasoned freelance writer with extensive experience in the arts, particularly in dance. Since April 2007, Mary Ellen has contributed to the San Francisco Chronicle, focusing on arts features, dance reviews, and columns for the 96 Hours section. Additionally, Mary Ellen has been writing for Dance Magazine since January 2003, Pointe Magazine since January 2008, Dance Teacher Magazine since June 2009, and Dance Studio Life since November 2012. Mary Ellen holds an A.B. degree in Astronomy and Physics from Bryn Mawr College and is an alumna of Dominican Academy.
