Gitte Dyrhagen Husager is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in advocacy, private sector engagement, and human rights. Currently serving as Head of Programme, Advocacy & Learning at Folkekirkens Nødhjælp (DanChurchAid) since December 2013, Gitte has held various roles including Acting International Director and Senior CSR Advisor, focusing on Business & Human Rights, responsible investments, and sustainable development goals (SDGs). Gitte has contributed to initiatives such as the Danish Ethical Trade Initiative and the Global Compact Network Denmark, and has been involved in high-level advocacy at the UN level through previous roles with the International Dalit Solidarity Network. Gitte’s educational background includes advanced degrees in International Development Studies and Public International Law from Roskilde University and the University of Copenhagen.
