Sille Stidsen

Department Director, Human Rights And Sustainable Development, Americas at Danish Institute for Human Rights

Sille Stidsen is a highly experienced professional in the field of human rights and development, currently serving as the Acting Director of the Human Rights and Development Department at the Danish Institute for Human Rights since January 2017, along with a role as Senior Adviser for the Sustainable Development Programme. Prior experience includes authorship of significant works related to development issues, including a book on Bangladesh, and consulting at Zenobia Consult where Sille contributed to various international development projects. Sille Stidsen has also held senior advisory positions on climate change at IBIS and coordinated programs at IWGIA, with a strong focus on indigenous rights and social inclusion. Educational qualifications include a Master's degree in Anthropology from the University of Copenhagen, complemented by studies in Spanish and Art History at the Universidad de Santiago de Compostela.
