Marie-Chantal Dahl has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles within the Danish Red Cross and DCCD. Marie-Chantal began their career in 2002 as a Fundraiser/Festival secretary at DCCD. In 2005, they joined the Danish Red Cross, where they held positions such as HR Support, Programme Delegate for Mali, and Administrator for the Africa Team. From 2010 onwards, they continued to expand their responsibilities within the Danish Red Cross, taking on roles such as Resource Mobilization Officer, Desk Officer for the Middle East/North Africa, Country Coordinator, Donor Liaison Advisor, Senior Partnership Advisor, and Senior Portfolio Advisor. Most recently, Marie-Chantal Dahl assumed the position of Head of Global Partnerships at the Danish Red Cross.

Marie-Chantal Dahl's education history begins in 1984, when they attended Lycée Prins Henrik. Marie-Chantal completed their studies there in 1987 and obtained a Baccalauréat in Lettres/langues. From 1987 to 1989, they enrolled at Université Paris-Sorbonne, focusing on the History of Art. In 1992, Marie-Chantal entered Copenhagen Business School, where they pursued a Master's degree in Business administration and modern languages with a major in development studies. Marie-Chantal completed their studies in 2000.
