Martin Wagner Toftdahl began their work experience in 2008 as an Assistant Sourcing Manager at A.P. Moller - Maersk Group, where they later became a Business Analyst. In 2011, they joined Danmarks Nationalbank as an Economist in the FX and Money Markets department. Martin Wagner then transitioned to the European Central Bank in 2014, working as an Economist in the Capital Markets and Financial Structure Division. Returning to Danmarks Nationalbank in 2015, they took on various roles, including Chief Investment Manager and Economist in the FX and Money Markets department. In 2018, they moved to Nordea as the Head of Interest Rate Risk in the Banking Book. Martin Wagner later became the Head of Liquidity and Funding on an interim basis before returning to Danmarks Nationalbank in 2021. Currently, they serve as the Head of Monetary Policy Operations and Government Debt, and will soon take on the role of Head of Banking and Markets.
Martin Wagner Toftdahl obtained a Cand.merc.FIR degree in Finance & Accounting from Copenhagen Business School in 2010. Martin Wagner also has a certification called ACI Dealing Certificate from ACI, The Financial Markets Association.
