Steffen Andersen's work experience includes various roles and positions in different organizations. Steffen is currently the Head of Research at Danmarks Nationalbank since October 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Professor at Copenhagen Business School starting from July 2011. Steffen also served as a Visiting Professor at Stanford University from August 2011 to December 2011. Before joining Copenhagen Business School as a Professor, they worked as an Associate Professor from January 2009 to 2011 and as an Assistant Professor from March 2007 to December 2008. Steffen also worked as a Research Fellow at CEBR from 2000 to 2009, and as a Research Fellow at Centre for Economic and Business Research (CEBR) from 2002 to 2009. Steffen Andersen's earliest work experience was as a Student Assistant at Nykredit Realkredit A/S from October 1999 to June 2000.
Steffen Andersen completed their education in economics with a Ph.D. from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, which they pursued from 2005 to 2007. Additionally, they were a Visiting Scholar at the University of Chicago in 2005-2006. Prior to their Ph.D., they earned a Masters degree in economics from Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, which they pursued from 1998 to 2005.
