Joachim Finkielman

Joachim Finkielman has a diverse work experience in the defense and security industry. Joachim is currently serving as the Director of the DI Defence and Security Industries Association since April 2021. Prior to this, from 2019 to 2021, they worked as the Vicedirektør at Beredskabsstyrelsen. From 2015 to 2019, Joachim held the position of Head of Defence and Security Policy Department at Forsvarsministeriet. Before that, they served as the Defence Counsellor at Permanent Representations to NATO and EU in Udenrigsministeriet from 2011 to 2015. Joachim also has extensive experience at the Ministry of Defence, Denmark, where they held various roles including Head of Department for NATO and EU Policy, Head of Ministers Secretariat, and Head of Section for International Affairs, from 2000 to 2011. Joachim started their professional career at Naval Materiel Command Denmark as the Head of Section for Top Management Staff Office from 1998 to 2000.

Joachim Finkielman attended the University of Copenhagen from 1993 to 1998. Joachim pursued a degree in Political Science and successfully completed the program, earning a Cand. Scient. Pol. qualification.
