Rune Noack

Transportpolitisk Chef (director Of Transport Policy) at Dansk Industri

Rune Noack has a strong background in transportation and policy. Rune currently works at DI - Dansk Industri as the Transportpolitisk chef (Director of transport policy), where they have been responsible for the daily management of transport policy since February 2022. Rune has also led change processes, managed communication, provided strategic leadership, and handled budget and finance. Rune has been a member of the DI management group and has overseen collaboration between the transport sector and the rest of DI. Prior to this role, they served as a Seniorchefkonsulent (Leading Senior Adviser) at DI - Dansk Industri from July 2017 to February 2022, where they were responsible for serving the DI Transport board and was appointed by the transport minister as a member of the Vejtransportrådet and by the EU Commission as a member of the EU-expert group on posting of drivers. Rune also held the role of Chefkonsulent (Senior Adviser) at DI - Dansk Industri from July 2011 to June 2017, where they led a joint project with 3F on future skills within transportation, warehousing, and logistics, and was a member of the board in Transportens Innovations Netværk. Prior to their roles at DI - Dansk Industri, Rune worked as an Erhvervspolitisk konsulent (Political Adviser) at HTS/Dansk Industri from October 2007 to June 2011, where they played a key role in establishing and developing DI Transport and was involved in analyzing and providing consultation responses on transport legislation. Before that, they worked as a Politisk konsulent (Political Adviser) at Dansk Energi from September 2006 to September 2007, where they represented members' interests to authorities and politicians and handled EU regulation and market opening in the energy sector. Rune also served as a Specialkonsulent (Adviser) at Transport- og Energiministeriet from January 2005 to August 2006, where they worked as an EU coordinator in the field of transport and energy, responsible for quality assurance of EU cases in the ministry. Rune began their career as a Fuldmægtig (Head of Section) at Trafikministeriet from January 2002 to December 2005, where they coordinated EU matters and had extensive communication with agencies, other ministries, and interest organizations. Rune accompanied the minister to meetings in the Folketing's Europaudvalg and Trafikudvalg, as well as negotiations in the Council of Ministers, the European Parliament, and bilateral negotiations.

Rune Noack attended Helsingør Gymnasium from 1993 to 1996, where they completed their secondary education. Afterward, they enrolled at the University of Copenhagen, also known as Københavns Universitet, from 1996 to 2002. During their time at the university, they pursued a degree in Political Science and earned a Cand.scient.pol (Master of Political Science) degree. The field of study for both their secondary education and higher education is not provided.
