Joachim Alpen

Joachim Alpen currently serves as the Head of Large Corporates & Institutions at Danske Bank, a position held since August 2023. Prior to this role, Joachim spent over two decades at SEB, where responsibilities included Co-Head of LC&FI, Global Head of Markets, Global Head of FX, Head of FX in New York, Head of FX Sales, and Head of Emerging Markets. Joachim's earlier experience includes the role of Deputy Head of Trading and Trader for East European Markets at ABB, as well as serving as Second Secretary at the Embassy of Sweden in Moscow. The professional journey began with an International Financial Trainee position at ABB following education at Uppsala University (MS in Business Administration, Economics and Russian) and Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies (MA in International Relations).
