The Part You will Play – Role Summary:
There are several 2024 growth initiatives and discrete projects within the Finance Department that will require a Financial Accounting Manager to help complete. The person will either take a leading or supporting role with these initiatives, as well as helping the rest of the team with recurring monthly reporting activities. A broad skill set is needed, with an emphasis on FRS 102 Audit, IFRS technical accounting and revenue recognition experience. Daon has recently completed an IFRS financial framework detailed review and need a resource to maintain the IFRS workbook and related documentation, including assessing revenue recognition for new contracts on an IFRS basis.
Essential Functions & Role Responsibilities:
Critical Success Factors - Knowledge & Experience:
Strong technical skills and knowledge of both FRS102 auditing and IFRS reporting (preferably experience with a translation from Irish GAAP). In particular, a good understanding of commercial sales contracts and how they relate to revenue recognition.
A good grounding in the overall finance function for a company with global operations, as the role touches on various different areas:, general audit, IFRS accounting, group structures, monthly reporting and tax planning.

Good interpersonal skills, strong communicator. Comfortable working with external advisors and other departments as needed.
Education, Training & Experience Required:
Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA) with 4-8 years PQE, given the broad remit of the role.
Comfortable using an ERP (MS NAV, FinancialForce preferably)
A high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Data visualization and building dashboards experience (Tableau) would be useful but not essential.
