Syed Shahab Shahid CFA, ACA has a comprehensive work experience spanning several roles and companies. Syed Shahab started their career at Ernst & Young, where they worked as an Audit Senior and later as a Senior Analyst, managing valuation and due diligence assignments for clients. Syed Shahab then joined Schlumberger as a Receivable Accountant and later as a Financial Analyst. Shahab then moved to NIB Bank, where they served as an Assistant Vice President in the Investment Banking division, responsible for preparing credit memos, investment memorandum, and executing transactions. Syed Shahab then joined Engro Fertilizers Limited, where they held two roles - Treasury Manager and Finance & Planning Manager. In their role as Treasury Manager, they managed the company's banking lines and maintained relationships with banking partners, while as a Finance & Planning Manager, they were responsible for strategic planning, forecasting, budgeting, and providing financial and management reporting. Currently, Shahab is working at Daraz as the Regional Director of Finance & Planning.
Syed Shahab Shahid has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from ICAEW. Syed Shahab also holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance, valuation, investments, and financial analysis from the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program, which they completed from 2010 to 2013. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Accounting from the Association of Certified Chartered Accountants, UK from 2004 to 2007. Syed Shahab Shahid completed their A levels in Accounting, Economics, and Maths from The Avicenna School in 2002 and their O levels in Commerce from Saint Michael's Convent School from 1990 to 2002. In addition to their academic education, they have also obtained various certifications in areas such as trust-building, effective communication, critical thinking, and team collaboration from LinkedIn.
