Hamidreza Arkian has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Hamidreza started their career in 2008 as a Software Engineer at the Research Center for Developing Advanced Technologies (RCDAT), where they worked on multiple research and development projects related to Fog computing, Internet of Things, Vehicular Clouds, Cloud computing, and Wireless Sensor Networks. Hamidreza then transitioned into the role of an R&D Engineer at RCDAT, where they continued their work in these areas until 2018.
In 2018, Hamidreza joined INRIA/IRISA as a Research Engineer, focusing on the FogGuru project, an H2020 EU project. During their time at INRIA/IRISA, they worked on performance modeling of data stream processing in geo-distributed environments.
After this, they worked as a Research Engineer at Elastisys in 2019, collaborating with Prof. Guillaume Pierre and Dr. Johan Tordsson on the FogGuru project.
Later in 2019, Hamidreza joined Las Naves, collaborating with LasNaves and EMIVASA on the development and deployment of an integrated Fog Computing + LoRaWAN platform for potable water management.
In 2020, they returned to INRIA/IRISA as a Research Engineer, contributing to the FogGuru project once again. This time, they focused on designing and implementing an auto-scaler for data stream processing in Fog/Edge environments as part of the H2020 EU project FogGuru.
In 2022, Hamidreza took up the role of a Senior Cloud/DevOps Engineer at Darewise and Gouach. Hamidreza'sresponsibilities included architecting, developing, and automating the Cloud infrastructure, securing the infrastructure and communications, and collaborating on backend service development, automation, and improvement.
Hamidreza Arkian completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science from Université de Rennes I from 2018 to 2021. Prior to that, they obtained their Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Information Technology from the University of Guilan, where they studied from 2012 to 2014.
