Matthew James

Matthew James has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and industries. Matthew started their career as a Grocery Manager at Edgemont Market from April 2012 to August 2013. Matthew then moved on to Queen's University where they held two roles: Project Manager - APSC100 from September 2014 to April 2015, and Program Development Projects Manager from May 2014 to August 2014.

In 2016, Matthew James worked as a Research Assistant at the Stanford Microfluidics Laboratory. Here, they collaborated on a project focusing on designing microfluidic mixers for X-ray free electron laser facilities. Matthew utilized microscale manufacturing techniques for prototyping.

Matthew then joined DarkVision Technologies Inc. in 2017 as a Skunkworks R&D Engineer. Matthew worked on the mechanical design and implementation of a prototype ultrasound robotic system for the downhole space. Matthew contributed to 3D CAD design, material specifications, CAM and prototype machining, sourcing mechanical parts, and assembly and testing.

In 2021, Matthew James transitioned to Mezli as a Mechanical Engineer. Matthew'smain accomplishment was designing, assembling, and integrating the first fully autonomous restaurant for deployment in San Francisco. Matthew'sfocus was on combining custom sheet metal/CNC machined components and off-the-shelf solutions to optimize subsystem performance.

Lastly, Matthew James returned to DarkVision Technologies Inc. in 2022 as a Skunkworks Engineer, but further details about this role are not provided.

Matthew James obtained their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Queen's University from 2011 to 2015. Prior to that, they earned their British Columbia Dogwood Diploma from Sentinel Secondary School from 2007 to 2011. Following their undergraduate studies, Matthew pursued further education and completed a Master of Science (MS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University from 2015 to 2017. In addition to their academic degrees, they obtained Occupational First Aid Training Level 1 certification from Queen's University in September 2014.
