- Served as the Design Team Lead at Innovative Design at USC from August 2020 to January 2022, where they facilitated successful completion of graphic design projects, managed client liaison, led critiques, and developed skills in time and project management.
- Worked as a Packaging Designer at Metalman Brewing Company from May 2021 to October 2021, overhauling Metalman's logo and design system for beer can packaging and producing multiple label designs.
- Completed an internship as a Design and Innovation Intern at Ad Council from June 2021 to August 2021, contributing to the development of branding for a new internal design and innovation practice, and collaborating with other interns on a campaign proposal.
- Interned as a Design Intern at exSite Communications Ltd from January 2021 to June 2021, leading a teamwide Figma adoption initiative and managing various design projects, including web design and packaging design.

Emma Johnston attended the University of Southern California from 2017 to 2021. During this time, they pursued dual degrees, earning a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Theatre/Theater and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Human Biology. In April 2019, they obtained certification as a Certified Yoga Sculpt Instructor from CorePower Yoga. Additionally, in January 2020, they received a Standard CPR/AED certification from the American Red Cross.
