Alvaro Velasquez

Alvaro Velasquez is a Program Manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) and serves as a Visiting Professor at the University of Colorado since July 2022. Previous roles include Technical Lead at the Air Force Research Laboratory from June 2018 to July 2022, and Visiting Scientist positions at the University of Colorado and the University of Central Florida. Alvaro gained research experience as a Research Fellow at the National Science Foundation from May 2015 to May 2018, and held multiple Research Intern positions at the Air Force Research Laboratory. Alvaro earned a PhD and a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida, along with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and an Associate of Arts from Palm Beach State College.
