Before their political career, they worked at Immedion as an Infrastructure Analyst, where they focused on keeping customer business-critical data and applications available at all times. Ben also worked at Appica, powered by Profitability.net, where they protected mission-critical data and provided small to enterprise-sized companies with data center and hosted solutions. Additionally, they served as the VP of Technology at the American Marketing Association - Cincinnati. Earlier in their career, Ben worked as a Support Analyst at Frequency Marketing Inc., where they developed software for American Express' rewards program, and as a Software Support at Design Synergy. Ben also served as a Technical Support member at Choice.Net, an internet service provider, where they helped clients with their internet connections. Their professional journey began as a Representative for Cutco, where they learned important skills in sales and customer service.

Ben Baker started their education at Holmes High School, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree between the years 1993 and 1996. Following this, they attended the University of Kentucky from 1997 to 1999, with a focus on Computer Science. Ben then transferred to Northern Kentucky University, where they completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Radio and Television from 1999 to 2003.
