Marie Smith

Marie Smith has a long and impressive career in the tech industry. Marie began their career in 2015 as the Chief Information Officer and Co-Founder/Managing Director of Data 360, a low-code app development platform that helps businesses large and small build their software in the cloud. In 2021, they joined the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center as a Featured Entrepreneur, Cornerstone Mentor, Milestone Circles Member, Graduation and Circle Speaker, and Mentor for Mentor Makers. Marie was also a Featured Speaker at the Nasdaq Entrepreneurial Center. In 2022, Marie joined Founders and Funders of Color as a Board of Directors, The Fourth Floor X UBS Fellow, WICxLEAD ESG Women's Leadership Accelerator, and Break Through Tech NYC Mentor. Marie also joined Google Developers Group Cloud, Los Angeles as the Director of the Southern California Region, Google as a Women Techmakers Ambassador and Google for Startups London Campus Member, and Microsoft as a Technology Partner. In 2021, they became a Mentor for the USAWEC program from the Center for Global Enterprise. Throughout their career, Marie has been committed to advancing gender parity in technology and empowering women entrepreneurs.

Marie Smith has a long and varied educational history. Marie began their formal education in 1993 when they attended the University of Southern California and obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Cinematic Arts in 1996. Marie then took a break from formal education until 2011, when they attended Stanford University to study Computer Science. In 2006, they attended Harvard Law School to participate in the Program on Negotiation Insight Initiative. In 2017, Marie attended Startup School Online and obtained a Certificate in Business Administration and Management, General. Marie also obtained a Certificate e-course Hacking Human Nature for Good from Irrational Labs in 2019, and a Course Completion in Business/Commerce, General from Founder University. Additionally, Marie obtained a Certificate from Coursera in G Suite Administration in 2018. Finally, in 2015, they attended Philanthropy University to study Non-profit Business. Marie also has several additional certifications, including Microsoft Azure Management Tools and Security Solutions from Coursera obtained in October 2022, Introduction to Microsoft Azure Cloud Services from Coursera obtained in August 2022, and G Suite Administrator Fundamentals obtained in November 2018.
