Patty McDivitt oversees all phases of the item and test development process for DRC’s K–12 large-scale assessment programs. She also directs the activities of the Curriculum, Instruction, and Assessment Development department, including curriculum unit and lesson plan developers, publications staff, editorial staff, and performance assessment handscoring staff. Ms. McDivitt has over 35 years of direct, hands-on educational curriculum, instruction, and assessment development experience, including experience in the development of assessments designed to link students’ results with postsecondary education and career decision-making. She holds an M.S. in Education, School Guidance and Counseling, and Secondary Teaching in English Language Arts with a Special Education Endorsement. She also holds a B.S. in Secondary Education English Language Arts. Both degrees are from Indiana University, in Bloomington, Indiana.
