Han Xiao

Han Xiao is an experienced engineering manager currently leading the Photon Engine/Query Execution teams at Databricks since April 2022. Prior to this role, Han served as a Software Development Manager at Amazon Web Services (AWS) for over four years, overseeing various aspects of query engines for services like Amazon Athena and Amazon QLDB, as well as contributing to the development of core networking features for AWS Virtual Private Cloud. Han's career includes significant leadership positions at Citrix and Motorola Solutions, where management of cross-functional teams and high-quality project deliverables were key responsibilities. Han holds a Master’s Degree in Computer Science from the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China and a Bachelor’s Degree from Shandong University of Finance and Economics.
