Ivan Zhou

Ivan Zhou is a Senior Research Engineer at Databricks, focusing on enhancing AI systems at Databricks Mosaic since December 2024. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Machine Learning Engineer at Uber, where large-scale Foundation Models were pretrained, and AI applications were developed. At Stanford University School of Engineering, Ivan contributed to training new large language models at the Center for Research on Foundation Models. Previous positions also include Senior Machine Learning Engineer at LANDING AI, where innovations in AI technology for computer vision were pursued, and machine learning roles at Shopify, the University of Toronto, Mozilla, and 500px. Ivan holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Stanford University and an Engineer’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Toronto.
