Mackie Springer has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Mackie began their career in the US Navy as a Navy Corpsman, gaining experience with radiological instrumentation. Following their time in the Navy, Mackie worked as a Field Service Engineer for Philips Medical Systems, specializing in repair, calibration, and installation of medical equipment. Mackie then transitioned to a role at GE as a Field Service Engineer, where they focused on modalities and PACS. Mackie went on to work at SSM Healthcare as a Clinical Engineer, where they established maintenance schedules and procedures for the Radiology Department. Mackie further expanded their expertise as a PACS/RIS Administrator at Saint Francis Medical Center, overseeing the implementation of PACS and RIS systems. Mackie continued to develop their project management skills at IBM Watson Health Imaging, serving as a Project Manager. Currently, Mackie is employed at DataFirst Corporation as a Project Manager, specializing in data migrations and project planning for healthcare organizations. In addition to their professional work, Mackie also runs their own photography company, Mackie Springer Photography, LLC, where they serve as the Chief Executive Officer.
Mackie Springer attended State Technical Institute at Memphis, TN from 1987 to 1989 and earned an Associate of Engineering Technology degree in Biomedical Engineering Technologies. Following this, Mackie pursued further education at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale from 1990 to 1992. Here, they completed a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Electronics Engineering and Business Administration.
