Josh Michielsen

Josh Michielsen has a diverse range of work experience, spanning multiple roles and industries.

Josh most recently worked as a Principal Software Engineer at Dataminr, starting in 2023.

Prior to that, they served as a Technical Lead & Engineering Manager at Weaveworks from October 2021 to June 2023. In this role, they provided technical leadership and managed a team of engineers, focusing on feature delivery and utilizing GitOps practices.

From April 2020 to October 2021, they worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Snyk, specializing in building container security products using Go, Node.js, and TypeScript within a microservices architecture.

Before that, from December 2018 to April 2020, they were a Senior Software Engineer at Condé Nast, where they contributed to building and maintaining a global cloud platform using AWS, Kubernetes, Golang, Terraform, and other technologies.

Prior to that, from 2015 to 2017, they also pursued a Bachelor of Computer Science degree with a focus on Computer Software Engineering at Edith Cowan University.
