Rob Crowley has extensive work experience in various leadership and analytical roles. Rob is currently working at Dataminr as the Senior Director of Strategic Product since January 2022. Prior to this, they worked at Uber, where they held several positions, including Senior Program Manager for Global Law Enforcement Outreach & Partnerships from April 2020 to January 2022. Rob also served as a Global Program Manager for New Mobility Security & JUMP Asset Protection from January 2019 to March 2020 and as Manager of EMEA Threat & Crisis Team from October 2017 to December 2018. Before joining Uber, they were employed at Deutsche Bank as an Assistant Vice President for Corporate Security & Business Continuity from May 2015 to October 2016. Rob also worked as the Protective Intelligence Lead for the UK/MEA region from October 2013 to April 2015. Prior to their time at Deutsche Bank, they gained experience at The Risk Advisory Group, where they held positions as a Senior Analyst for Security Intelligence & Political Risk Consulting, as well as a Program Manager for Terrorism Tracker from April 2010 to October 2013. Additionally, they worked briefly as a Research Analyst at the Centre for the Study of Terrorism and Political Violence (CSTPV) from December 2009 to March 2010. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Freelance Journalist in Cairo, Egypt from November 2007 to June 2008. Rob started their professional journey as a Research Analyst at Thistle Intelligence and later as a Research Assistant at Eden Intelligence, both in 2007.
Rob Crowley has a Master of Letters (MLitt) degree in Terrorism Studies (with Distinction) from the University of St Andrews. Rob also attended the Arabic Language Institute at The American University in Cairo without completing a degree. Furthermore, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in History from the University of Warwick. In addition to their formal education, Rob Crowley received the Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification from ASIS International in 2019.
