Doug Beeferman

Doug Beeferman is an experienced software engineer and research scientist with a diverse background in developing tools and technologies across various organizations. Currently serving as a Research Scientist at the MIT Media Lab since June 2017, Doug engages in software engineering and research, focusing on media data analysis and collaboration with students. Founder of Datamuse Corporation, Doug has dedicated significant time to creating reference and brainstorming tools since 2000. Previous roles include software engineering positions at Cortico, Sift Science, Google, and Lycos, where Doug worked on projects related to fraud detection, ad performance analysis, and search engine improvements. Doug holds a Master's degree in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University and a Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Computer Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
