Gabriel de Wet

Gabriel de Wet has a strong background in machine learning engineering and data science. Gabriel started their career as a Data Scientist at HLB-NGA from December 2018 to February 2020. After that, they joined Learning Machines in March 2020 as a Machine Learning Engineer, where they worked until March 2023. From May 2021, they worked at SilicoGenesis in the same role until joining their current company, dataroots, in March 2023.

Gabriel de Wet completed their education in a chronological order. Gabriel started with a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Economics from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria, which they pursued from 2012 to 2014. Following this, they pursued a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) Honours degree in Statistics in 2016, again from the University of Pretoria/Universiteit van Pretoria. In 2017, they advanced their education by pursuing a Master of Commerce (MCom) degree in Statistics from the same university, completing it in 2018.

In addition to their formal education, Gabriel de Wet also obtained certifications to enhance their skills. Gabriel obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Scientist Associate certification from Microsoft in May 2023. Prior to that, in January 2021, they completed the Partner Training - Developer Essentials certification from Databricks.
