Jeroen Flipts

Jeroen Flipts has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and data analysis. Their most recent position was as a Cloud Engineer at dataroots, where they contributed to the development and implementation of cloud-based solutions. Prior to that, they worked as a Data Engineer at the same company, where they gained expertise in data processing and analysis.

Before joining dataroots, Jeroen worked as a Back End Developer at Be-Mobile, where they were involved in developing and maintaining the back-end systems.

Jeroen also gained valuable experience through internships at Showpad, where they worked on back-end development projects involving Elastic Search and event processing using Kafka and Beam. Additionally, they completed a summer internship at Harmoney NV and Use IT Group, further enhancing their skills and knowledge.

Jeroen Flipts attended Sint-Lodewijkscollege Brugge from 2008 to 2014, where they studied Wetenschappen wiskunde 8. Jeroen then went on to Ghent University, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in de ingenieurswetenschappen: computerwetenschappen from 2014 to 2018. Jeroen continued their education at Ghent University and obtained a Master of Science in Computer Science Engineering with a major in Artificial Intelligence from 2017 to 2020.

In addition to their formal education, Jeroen Flipts has also obtained various certifications. Jeroen became an AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services in March 2023. Jeroen also obtained the Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark 3.0 from Databricks and completed the dbt Fundamentals course provided by dbt Labs, both in March 2023.
