Robbe Kimpen

Robbe Kimpen started their work experience in 2014 as a job student at Mathys Paints, where they worked in the laboratory taking samples and analyzing them. Robbe also had a temporary role as a production worker.

In 2016, Robbe worked as a job student order picker at Euro Shoe Group NV, ensuring that all orders were delivered on time to the stores.

In 2017, they participated in the International BusIT Week at PXL College.

Robbe then worked as a job student in marketing at Cegeka in 2017, where they were responsible for maintaining the CRM system and worked with Google Analytics.

In 2018, they completed an internship in blockchain and IoT at Cegeka, where they created a blockchain software wallet for Internet of Things devices. Robbe also provided assistance in building a self-improving racetrack for the tech event "SuperNova".

At KU Leuven, Robbe worked in the Learning Garage in 2019.

In 2020, they started their Master's thesis at KU Leuven and continued until 2021.

Currently, Robbe is working as a Data Engineer at dataroots from September 2021 onwards.

Robbe Kimpen's education history begins in 2009 when they attended OHVM Lummen, where they studied Economics Languages until 2013. Following that, from 2013 to 2015, they pursued a field of study in Accountancy Informatics at Voorzienigheid Diest. Robbe then moved on to Hogeschool PXL, where they studied Applied Informatics from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, they enrolled in KU Leuven for a bridging program in the Master of Applied Informatics, which they completed in 2021. Simultaneously, from 2019 to 2021, Robbe studied for a Master of Applied Informatics at KU Leuven. Additionally, they attended CVO De Verdieping from 2020 to 2023 to obtain a degree in Bike Mechanic through night school.

In terms of certifications, Robbe Kimpen completed the Python Development Course at LearnX.org in July 2021. Robbe also obtained the Bedrijfsbeheer certification in June 2015. Furthermore, they have acquired several professional certifications, including the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2022, the HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate (002) from HashiCorp in January 2023, and the Databricks Certified Associate Developer for Apache Spark 3.0 from Databricks in February 2022.
