John Soward

John Soward is currently an Instructor at the University of Kentucky College of Engineering, teaching CS316 since August 2023. Since March 2017, John has also been an Instructor at RX-M, LLC, providing instruction to IT professionals on various topics including IoT, Git, and MongoDB. John has been the Manager of Research Initiatives at Dataseam since September 2010 and served as IT Track Faculty at the MacWorld Conference from 2005 to 2013, speaking on topics such as XGrid, XSan, and iOS Development. Previously, John was the IT Manager III at the University of Kentucky from August 1994 to October 2010, overseeing academic technical services, campus-wide web services, and Unix server administration. John holds a degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Kentucky, earned between 1986 and 1994.
