Amanda C Skuldt

Amanda C Skuldt, PhD has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and industries.

From 2020 onwards, they worked at DataStax, first as a Sr. Engagement Manager from March 2020 to September 2021. Then, they transitioned to the role of Technical Program Manager for Security & Compliance, where they focused on Security Engineering, Information Security, and Governance, Risk, & Compliance. From February 2023, they became a Compliance Engineer, responsible for risk and vulnerability management, improving and testing internal controls, and audit management.

Prior to joining DataStax, Amanda worked at The Last Pickle as a Project Manager from June 2017 to March 2020.

Amanda C also held several positions at Wikistrat, starting as a Contributing Analyst from June 2011 to October 2013. Amanda C then became a Simulation Supervisor from May 2012 to October 2014. From October 2013 to October 2014, they served as a Senior Analyst, and from October 2014 to April 2017, they were the Anticipatory Threat Analysis Group Leader.

Before that, Amanda worked at Lucena Group as a Senior Protective Intelligence Analyst from July 2013 to August 2014.

From 2012 to 2014, they worked at the University of Texas at Austin as a Lecturer/Visiting Scholar, teaching research methods related to terrorism and political violence, Arab-Israeli conflict, and U.S. politics. Additionally, they supervised the Supplemental Instruction program from August 2010 to May 2013.

Their earlier experience includes being the State Sponsored Terrorism and Maritime Piracy Project Director at the Terrorists, Insurgents, and Guerrillas in Education and Research (TIGER) lab from August 2009 to December 2011.

Throughout their career, Amanda Skuldt has demonstrated expertise in various areas such as compliance, security, project management, threat analysis, and research methods.

Dr. Amanda C Skuldt holds a PhD in Government with a specialization in International Relations and Comparative Politics from The University of Texas at Austin. Amanda C also earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Political Science from Simmons University. In addition to their academic achievements, Dr. Skuldt has obtained several certifications. These include the Proofpoint Certified Insider Threat Specialist 2023 from Proofpoint, the Certificate in Human Dimensions of Organizations from The University of Texas at Austin, and the Certified Scrum Master from Scrum Alliance.
