Christian Young

Christian Young has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Software Engineer at DataStax since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at Capital One from 2017 to 2021, initially as an Associate Software Engineer and later as a Software Engineer.

Before their time at Capital One, Christian gained valuable experience as an Android Developer intern at EverMem, Inc. (FlipWord) in 2016. Christian worked closely with a team of Android interns and the iOS team to develop FlipWord's first Android app.

In 2015, Christian served as a Camp Counselor and Lifeguard at Warren Willis Camp. This role involved caring for and supervising campers, coordinating recreational and educational programs, and ensuring their safety during activities such as swimming, sailing, and canoeing.

In 2013-2014, Christian had an internship as a Computer Engineer at Spincore Technologies. Christian worked on programming, testing, and packaging signal producing boards while collaborating with a team of engineers to provide solutions for specific client issues.

Overall, Christian has a strong background in software engineering and has gained experience in various fields, including Android development, camp counseling, and computer engineering.

Christian Young attended the University of Florida from 2012 to 2017, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Computer Engineering. In addition to their degree, they obtained certifications as an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in August 2018 and in Lifeguarding / Waterfront / Emergency Oxygen from the American Red Cross in June 2015.
